Bloomington High Schools change schedules in 2011-12
Bloomington, as part of budget cuts, will be moving from a 4-period day program to a 6-period day program with an early bird option. This change will take effect in the 2011-12 school year. The attached powerpoint was presented to parents on November 16, 2009. Click here to view powerpoint. More parent and student information sessions will be planned next school year. If you have questions, please contact the high school administration.

Information regarding Jefferson's decision to remove class rank from student transcripts.
Jefferson has chosen to replace the class rank, found on student transcripts in the past, with a decile rank. This decile distribution chart would provide approximate class rank information for scholarship purposes and would continue to reflect the achievement of those who are at the top of their class. The Decile Distribution Chart, as well as a document containing Frequently Asked Questions can be found in the School Info tab, the Counseling tab, or the Parent/Student Resources tab of Jefferson's website.
Jefferson High School named
Blue Ribbon School of Excellence
Bloomington Jefferson High school was one of three Minnesota high schools named a 2009 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education. The award honors public and private schools that have made significant progress in student achievement under the No Child Left Behind Act. Only 20 public schools have received this designation since the Department of Education began recognizing outstanding schools in 1982. The last time a high school received this award was in 2001.
