Biography:
Joe has been teaching in Bloomington since 2000. His first year at Olson Middle School was teaching seventh through ninth grade computer technology. Each year after that he taught seveth grade math for the "7-Wonderz" team. Even though he loved working in the middle schools, he felt that after thirteen years he needed a change. In 2007 he moved to Kennedy High School. Even though he misses many aspects of the middle school, he really enjoys working at the high school level and he is very happy teaching at Kennedy.
Besides teaching he is a high school volleyball coach at Lakeville North and during the offseason he coaches at the Mizuno M1 volleyball club team. He has also coached golf and basketball in the past.
Outside of teaching and coaching, Joe spends non-working time with his family. His family (wife, Ellie: 7, and Adam: 5) is very active and they like to be outdoors. During the football season they have a family split, his wife and Ellie love the Vikings and Adam and he are huge Packer fans! |
