 |
Move over big brother. Like a living room wrestling match that must've rumbled over the years at the Ness household, Dylan Ness of Bloomington Kennedy is making wrestling news of his own, trying to match his brother Jayson (see below). Dylan was named this year's Minnesota Wrestling Coaches' Association (MWCA) Mr. Minnesota of Wrestling. This honor comes on top of his recent State Championship title in the 145 lb. class at the Minnesota State High School Wrestling Tournament. Dylan will be honored at the Dave Bartelma Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, April 24th at the Willmar Holiday Inn. The Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association annually presents the Mr. Minnesota High School Wrestler award to the senior that best exemplifies the highest ideals of high school wrestling in Minnesota. Judging is based on past performances, citizenship, academics, leadership, and adherence to MSHSL rules. Ness was undefeated this season with 48-0 record and won the Class 3A state title at 145 pounds. He came into the season ranked as a top-10 wrestler in two national publications. |
