Interested in Joining Student Government 2009-10?

Pick-up information starting April 27th outside the Main Office. If you would like to run for class officers, put a slate of officers together of four people from your class (president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer). Slate information forms are due May 15th. Voting will take place May 26th. Individual representatives are also a huge part of student government. Representative applications are due May 22nd.

Spring Food Drive

District-wide Food Drive will be held May 4-8th. Bring non-perishable items or money to your first hour everyday throughout the week. All donations will benefit the VEAP food shelf in Bloomington.

Send an Orange Crush to your Crush!
Purchase an Orange Crush for a friend and it will be delivered to their 1st hour on Feb 12th. Available during all 3 lunches in main hallway Feb 2nd-11th. Cost is $1 for a can of Orange Crush delivered with a personal note.

You can purchase your results Feb 9th-12th during all 3 lunches in the main hallway. Cost will be $2.


Mr. JFK Male Beauty Pageant
Senior and Junior guys can sign up to participate in the 2nd annual Mr. JFK. The pageant will take place during the pepfest on Friday Feb 20th. Guys will be judged in 3 categories. Formal Wear (Tuxes will be provided by Men's Warehouse Tux), Talent, Casual Wear, and the Question and Answer.

Candy Grams for Sale

"Send a treat to someone sweet!" Purchase a candy gram for a friend and it will be deliveredto their 1st hour on Dec. 19th. Available during all 3 lunches in main hallway Dec. 11-18. Cost is $1 for a chocolate santa with a personal note.

Student Government/NHS Winter Clothing Drive

Bring winter clothing or toys to Mr. Wise's office (C110) by Dec. 18th and receive a Burger King sandwich coupon! All clothing and toys will be donated to the Salvation Army.

The Food Drive
Each student in Miss Haddads first hour will receive a Chipotle
Burrito, chips guacamole and salsa, and a can of pop.
Kennedy students brought 14,788 items. All going to the VEAP food
shelf in Bloomington.

Pennies for Patients
Mrs. Lyons third hour brought the most money in and will receive a
pizza party from Domino's Pizza and Jamba Juice.
Kennedy students raised $1943.80 in one week! All the money will be
donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Blood Drive
We had EVERY spot filled to give blood on Friday. Thank you to
everyone who gave blood!
