"Bits and Pieces" of alumni news from Kennedy graduates . . .

• Heidi Le (2006 JFK grad) was featured in Star Tribune columnist Gail Rosenblum's recent column about the unique human interest story behind her Fulbright Scholarship to study in her home country of Vietnam.

• Tara Steinbauer (2007 JFK grad) concluded her junior year of basketball for the Wisconsin Badgers. She started all 32 games for the Badgers this past season, and has been an Academic All-Big Ten honoree for the past two years. View Tara's profile on the Wisconsin Badger website.

• Michael Riebel (2009) was selected to be on the Drake University President's Cabinet for Student Senate. He is an accounting/finance major and still is a Packer fan. Check out the Drake student newspaper for this news and his election-night picture.
• Ashly Robinson (2006) concluded her college basketball career at the University of Denver in Colorado. She lead the team in rebounding in each of the past two seasons, and was selected to the SBC Commissioner's List for outstanding academic performances. • Joe Lund (2008) is an offensive lineman (left guard) for the NDSU Bison. After redshirting in 2008, he entered the mix in 2009, and is a leading lineman for the 2010 season. Check out Joe's NDSU player profile, and read an article about him in advance of next fall.
• Bobby Fong (2008) was named Honorable Mention All MIAC basketball team as a sophomore, and averaged over 12 ppg. His freshman season he was named to the ALL MIAC Rookie Team. Read more about Bobby at the St. Olaf College basketball website.
• Alfred Jaryan (2008) had two back-to-back 30 point games this season for the St. Olaf basketball team, while averaging just shy of 12 ppg. He's finished his sophomore season and you can check out his season at the St. Olaf College basketball website.

• Steve Rushin (1984 JFK grad), former Sports Illustrated columnist, and book author, has published his third book The Pint Man. Rushin read from his new book and signed copies at O'Gara's (May 20th) and O'Donovan's (May 21) in St. Paul. Read more about Rushin at his website.
