'Grease' will be performed at Bloomington Jefferson
Bloomington Jefferson High School will present the musical Grease on Oct. 25-29.
A wonderful musical about teens in love in the 50's! Sandy Dumbrowski is a goody two-shoes. Danny Zuko is the leader of the T-Birds from Rydell High. The two fall in love during the summer. When the summer ends, the two think they'll never see each other again. However, they're both wrong. Sandy is now attending Danny's school. The two struggle to be together in an atmosphere where it is not "cool" for them to be together.
Mitch Grimme will perform the part of Danny. Megan Myhre will play Sandy. Julie Wavinak will perform the part of Rizzo. Brent Trombley will play Kenickie. Ben Batz will play the part of Doody and Frenchy is Libby Tousignant. Adam DeGonda plays Sonny. Megan Ward plays Marty. Drew Atwood is Roger and Kirstin Long plays Jan. The cast, crew and orchestra will be comprised of about 80 students.
Laura Schmit is directing this year's performance with choreography by Juli Mickelson and costumes by Laurie Clements. Jeff Kelly will direct music.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Oct. 25-28 at Jefferson High School. There will be a matinee performance on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. Admission is $10, Students & Seniors, $7. Seats are reserved. Tickets will go on sale one-hour prior to the performance. Performances will be at the Jefferson High School Auditorium, 4001 West 102nd Street in Bloomington.
