| Kennedy Theater Company to present The Wizard of Oz Sept. 30, 2009
Bloomington Kennedy High School Theatre Company will stage The Wizard of Oz on Thursday, Oct. 29 through Sunday, Nov. 1 in the  school’s auditorium, 9701 Nicollet Ave S. Performances are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Oct. 29-31, and 2:00 p.m. on Nov. 1.
The Wizard of Oz is a 1902 Broadway musical adapted by L. Frank Baum who published the children’s novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. It is one of the best-known stories in American popular culture thanks in part to the highly acclaimed 1939 MGM movie starring Judy Garlan
d. The story chronicles the adventures of a girl named Dorothy Gale in her travels through the Land of Oz.
