| Senior Achievement Awards nominations due Feb. 19
Jan. 22, 2010
Nominations are now being accepted for the 20th Annual Bloomington Public Schools' Senior Achievement Awards, which recognizes outstanding Kennedy and Jefferson high school seniors.
Students who excel in or make contributions to the school and community in one of the four categories - Arts, Volunteerism, Leadership, and Curricular Excellence - may be nominated. Nominations may be submitted by school staff, parents, employers, faith leaders and other community members and organizations.
Nominations must be received at the nominee's respective high school no later than 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010. All nominations will be reviewed and selections made by a committee of faculty and community representatives. Award winners, which also include the top 10 percent of each school’s graduating class, will be guests of honor at the Bloomington Senior Recognition Night on Thursday, April 15.
Nomination forms are available at each of the high schools and the district's Community Relations Office.
Sponsors are being sought. Businesses interested in being a part of this important recognition program for the Class of 2010 are urged to call the Community Relations Office, 952-681-6403. |
