Olson Elementary's champion readers share
cookies and books with Superintendent
Cookies and book talk with the Superintendent of Schools is Olson Elementary School's 20-year-old traditional honor for its champion readers. Recently six students shared cookies and juice with Superintendent Les Fujitake. The 5th graders all reached the
2,000 book level in the Koalaty Reading program by reading at
least 20 minutes daily at home.
About 85 percent of Olson students and families read in the PTA-sponsored program, said Principal Tim Case.
