For immediate release
November 30, 2006
Over 5,000 people of all ages and abilities have learned to swim, be safe around water and enjoy aquatic activities through the Bloomington and Richfield Community Education program.
This winter, you can too.
Community Education's swim lesson program is the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program. The Learn-to-Swim classes provide instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills. It is designed to give students a positive learning experience. The program teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression.
The objective is to teach people to swim and to be safe in, on and around the water. Community Education offers: a Parent/Child Class (6 months to 5 years), a Pre-School Class (4 to 5 years) and Levels 1 – 6 (beginners to advanced beginners).
Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer sessions are offered at three middle school locations: Valley View Middle School Pool, Olson Middle School Pool and Richfield Middle School Pool. The 2007 Winter Session will begin Jan. 22. For more information on class times and dates, watch for the Community Education catalog, visit the Web site at http://www.bloomingtonrichfieldcommunityeducation.com or call the registration
