June 25, 2009
The 16th annual Education Foundation of Bloomington’s Chip in for Schools Golf Classic will kick off at Dwan Golf Course on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
The tournament will benefit the Education Foundation of
Bloomington’s effort to fund Educational Innovation Grants in the Bloomington Public Schools. These grants support teachers in providing creative and innovative educational opportunities for Bloomington’s learners.
“The EFB has granted over $400,000 overall since our inception to benefit Bloomington students,” said Foundation President Karyn Arazi. For the last three years, we have provided about $50,000 each year to the Bloomington schools.
Golfers will tee off on a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. The $110 fee includes a golf cart, hospitality bag, souvenir photo of your foursome, soft drinks, lunch, entertainment and prizes. A dinner and awards program will follow the tournament at the Minnesota Valley Golf Club in Bloomington. Those who wish to attend the banquet only are welcome for a $40 fee.
Golfers may sign up with their own foursome or as individuals. To register, call
952-334-8412 or visit the Education Foundation of Bloomington web site at http://educationfoundationofbloomington.org/.
