Congratulations Class of 2009!

Nearly 800 graduating seniors from Kennedy and Jefferson high schools received their diplomas at the Target Center in Minneapolis. Commencement ceremonies were held on Monday, June 9 and 10 for Kennedy and Jefferson, respectively.

It should also be noted that this year, the high schools adopted a slightly modified process to issue the graduate's diplomas. School leaders and members of the school board did not engage in the customary handshakes that typically accompany the presentation of the diploma in light of the continued presence of the H1N1 influenza virus.
