Elementary Grades K-5
Parents/guardians of elementary students transferring to Bloomington Public Schools from another school district should enroll their student at the elementary school in the attendance area they live. Contact the school office and make an appointment.
View the School Boundaries if you would like to see an overview of where school boundaries are located. If you are unsure about which school attendance area you live in call Brenda Wibbens at 952.681.6478 or E-mail Bwibbens@bloomington.k12.mn.us in the Assistant Superintendent's Office.
Student Records
If you are transferring to Bloomington Public Schools from another district, your student's educational records will be transferred from their previous school to their new school in Bloomington.
Parent/guardians should bring the following items with them when an appointment has been made with the school.
- Proof of Residence (lease or purchase agreement, or current utility bill)
- Name and address of previous school attended
- Proof of birth date and name (Kindergarten and New Arrivals to the United States)
You may also apply for your student to attend Hillcrest Community School. Hillcrest is a K-5 elective school, which offers a different learning environment that may be a good choice for your student.
State law requires all students to meet specific immunization requirements at different grade levels before they attend school. To review immunization requirements, please refer to the districts Health Services website.
