Health Services

Bloomington Public School’s Health Service is deeply

committed to helping each student achieve the best

possible school experience.  Each Bloomington Public

School is staffed with a Health Service Associate when

the school is in session.  The Health Service Associates

work under the direction and supervision of the Supervisor

of Health Services to carry out their major responsibilities.

Services Provided

At each school the Health Service Associates (HSA) provide

the following services under the direction of the Health Service

Supervisor to support Bloomington students:

• Monitor immunization status of students
• Manage health plans for students with health conditions
• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff
• Medication administration
• Maintain health service records
• Implement screening programs
• Surveilance of Communicable disease
